For unaccompanied mixed choir. Written for La Chorale Saint-Jean in Edmonton. Published by Cypress Publishing as part of the Canadian Chamber Choir Series for Accomplished Choirs.

Inspired by the well-known choral setting of this poem by Québec composer, Lionel Daunais, Enns describes this composition as “a sonic version of a Monet painting.” The lyrical melody is supported by the composer’s characteristic layered harmonies.

Inspiré par la mise en musique chorale bien connue du compositeur québécois Lionel Daunais de ce célèbre poème, Jeff Enns décrit cette composition comme étant la version sonore d’un tableau de Monet. La mélodie lyrique s’appuie sur les harmonies superposées qui sont caractéristiques du compositeur.
